Acclaimed jazz vocalist and six-time Grammy Award nominee, Nnenna Freelon and her trio perform a special selection of songs in tribute to female jazz vocalists.  A versatile and multi-talented performer, in 2014 Freelon starred in the critically acclaimed show “Georgia on My Mind: Celebrating the Music of Ray Charles” at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. She has toured with the luminary Ray Charles and many other great jazz artists including Ellis Marsalis, Al Jarreau, George Benson.  Freelon most recently produced and acts in the touring multimedia production, The Clothesline Muse. 

 An Evening with Nnenna Freelon also includes a special finale performance by the local Antwoin L. Holman and Tran4mation choir of her anthem “One Child at a Time” found on her “Soulcall” recording and an introduction by and post-performance conversation with Gwen “Rivablue” Redding, radio personality on Jazz 91.9 FM WCLK, TV host and jazz singer.
