An NBAF commission in partnership with Spelman College and T. Lang Dance, Doxology draws back the curtain on the ecstatic, transcendent ring shout tradition through a rich blend of dance, visual imagery, and music. Conceived, written and directed by the esteemed playwright, Paul Carter Harrison visiting artist/scholar at Emory University in collaboration with composer Dwight Andrews, digital media artist, Philip Mallory Jones, and the legendary choreographer, the provocative dance/opera will be performed in a digital performance environment by the T Lang Dancers.
